Walk through of actual day bridal photography in Singapore

Actual day bridal photography is very different from pre wedding photography. The things the photographers will need to take note of is far more during actual day bridal photography than pre wedding photography. Normally, actual day wedding photography is only attempted by senior professional wedding photographers. Interestingly, as the culture of the society and racial group influences the actual day wedding event, the actual day wedding photography will be very different for different couples belonging to different society and racial group.

Here in this post, I’m going to give a walk-through of the most common actual Day bridal photography in Singapore. As the majority of the population in Singapore comprises of the Chinese, the example of the actual day wedding event will be following the Chinese customs.

During the actual day bridal photography, two wedding photographers will be needed in order to take a comprehensive wedding album noting both the bride’s and groom’s preparation for the wedding day. One wedding photographer will have to head to the groom’s house while the other wedding photographer will have to head to the bride’s house in the early morning of the actual wedding day. Their tasks are to capture the preparation moments of both the bride and groom.

When the groom is ready, he will head off to the bride’s house to “fetch her”. Normally, the groom, along with his band of brothers, will have to play and pass some games organized by the bride’s sisters. The atmosphere here will be really intense and fast-paced. The wedding photographer will have to standby to capture emotional photographs at all time. Upon successful completion of the games, the groom will be allowed into the house and see the bride. After which, they will pay respects to the bride’s parents by offering them a cup of tea each.

Next, both wedding photographers will follow the bride and groom to the groom’s house where the couple will pay respects to the groom’s parents. This will signal the end of the morning wedding ritual. In the afternoon, the couples will usually just hang out at the groom’s house, waiting for time to pass. The wedding photographers can take a break during this time too.

Things will get very busy during the night when the wedding banquet takes place. Many of the couple’s invited guests will arrive at the wedding banquet event to witness the marriage of the couple. Ideally, one wedding photographer will be attached to the couple and taking pictures of them the entire night. The other wedding photographer will be seen roaming around the ballroom taking pictures of the guests and the environment. Together, the pictures of both wedding photographers will form a holistic story of the entire wedding event.

Why Choose Singapore Wedding Photography?

Although it is not obviously necessary that you should pick to have your photo shoot in Singapore, many couples in the South-East Asia region love coming to Singapore for their wedding photography. I strongly recommend that you pick Singapore Wedding Photography.

Singapore is small and regardless whether you prefer pre-wedding photos with a rural or urban backdrop, you would be able to have both taken within the same wedding photography session and within the same day as well. This is because you can travel from one point to another within Singapore within one hour. This makes it very convenient for your wedding photo shoot. You can have your photography session at East Coast Park and travel to Upper Seletar Reservoir only within 30 minutes. This allows for you to have wedding photographs with lots of different backgrounds in Singapore all within one day as long as you have a car or some form of private transport. (If you need help, some photographers can help you arrange for a private transportation too).

Singapore has lots of beautiful places for your wedding photo shoot. With the famous Gardens by the Bay to the less well known Pulau Ubin, there are both modern as well as rustic locations in Singapore for your photographs to be taken at. If you are from Singapore, then you would obviously know most of these locations – so you should go to more unique spots like Tuas grasslands or Upper Seletar Reservoir. On the other hand, if you’re a foreigner coming to Singapore for your wedding photo shoot only, then check out the world famous Marina Bay Sands and Fullerton Hotel. These are favorite hot spots for tourists for their wedding photo shoots.

I really love the wedding photographs that the following couple has taken in Singapore. Just check them out, and you would definitely want to take your wedding photos in Singapore too!
