America should take a chance tomorrow and make Barack Obama the next leader of the free world.
This is just for PuppetVision’s American readers, but get out and vote tomorrow!
Here in the rest of the world we don’t cast ballots in the U.S. election even though it has a major impact on our lives (if the rest of the world did get to vote, it would be Obama in a landslide). Those of you who are Americans don’t just elect a President, you elect the leader of the free world. It’s an important decision that impacts the direction the rest of us go in, as the disastrous last eight years of George Bush has demonstrated all too well.
Personally, I agree with the Economist, you guys should take a chance and make Barack Obama the next President of the United States:
“This cannot be another election where the choice is based merely on fear. In terms of painting a brighter future for America and the world, Mr Obama has produced the more compelling and detailed portrait. He has campaigned with more style, intelligence and discipline than his opponent. Whether he can fulfil his immense potential remains to be seen. But Mr Obama deserves the presidency.”
If you’re voting in the U.S. election tomorrow and still undecided, take a few moments to read their point of view (click the link above). It acknowledges all of Obama’s flaws as a candidate as well the potential risks his Presidency might pose, but still makes the case for why he’s the man for the job. It’s the best, most well-reasoned endorsement of Obama I’ve read.
*Note: Next time I bring up politics here, it’ll have something to do with a puppet. Promise!
