More short films starring Steve the Vampire are coming soon.

The vampire puppet genre seems to be pretty well covered. In addition to famous characters like The Count and Count Blah there’s also lesser-known ones like the previously-blogged TVTV and Ask A Vampire (I’ve had a vampire puppet idea on the back burner for a few years as well). That being said, it is rich and fertile comedic territory. Take, for example, Steve The Vampire from Elmwood Productions. There’s something about its premise of a teenage vampire coping with day-to-day life and dealing with his clueless, overbearing Jewish mother that’s inherently funny. We can look forward to more Steve the Vampire in 2008.
