Sam the Robot, gone from Sesame Street but not forgotten.

Remember Sam the Robot? He was long ago retired from Sesame Street, but he was a fixture on the series for several years during the 1970s. Boing Boing was talking about classic Sesame Street yesterday and pointed to a `70s comic book team up between Sam and Spiderman from Spidey Super Stories #31. They also linked to a clip of Sam’s first Sesame Street appearance.
