Frank Oz: Independent Filmmaker

Frank Oz directs actor Peter Dinklage on the set of Death at a Funeral.

This isn’t puppet-related, but I figure since Frank Oz is pretty well indisputably the world’s greatest living puppeteer (not to mention a world-class director) it’s fair game…as a follow up to his disappointing 2004 Stepford Wives remake, Frank has made a low-budget dark comedy called Death at a Funeral. The film premiered at Sundance and has been on the film festival circuit.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer recently interviewed Frank about the movie, which opens in select U.S. cities June 29th.
