Fingerbobs is a classic British children’s show from the 1970s. It was hosted by Canadian actor Rick Jones and each ten-minute episode told a story built around a paper finger puppet animal and usually involved collecting various items like pebbles or feathers that would be put together to make another object at the end. There’s a video clip available on YouTube of Rick Jones discussing his work on the series, which includes some slightly NSFW anecdotes.

Fingerbobs is available to own on DVD from Amazon.co.uk, but you’ll need a DVD player that can play Region 2 discs.
