Puppets of the UK band South created by Jonny Sabbagh.
I was sad to hear a little while ago that Up At The Big House had split up. In case you haven’t heard of them, Up At The Big House was a British filmmaking/puppet/animation collective that was probably the UK’s best kept puppetry secret. They spent five years churning out some fantastic indie puppet films like We Are The Stems (see previous post), Hot Headed Chap and (one of my personal favourites) A Nice Day In Prison.
Fortunately, resident puppet builder Jonny Sabbagh is still at it and producing great work like these portrait puppets of the UK band South. Check out all his illustration and puppetry work on his new web site darkvast.com.
