Remember the Short Circuit movies and Johnny Five? It´s been almost two decades since the lovable robot rolled in to their hearts of movie goers everywhere and he’s still got a huge following. Created long before the days of CG animation, Johnny Five was brought to life the old fashioned way – as a full-scale practical animatronic puppet.

Johnny-Five.com is a terrific web site for Johnny Five fans and includes an interview with Eric Allard, who served as Robotics Effects Supervisor on both Short Circuit movies. The site recently announced that Eric is trying to gage interest in collectible miniaturere radio-controlled Johnny Fives (based on the actual miniatureses used in the movies) as well as accurate blue prints for building the full scale puppet.
