Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets

I really enjoy the work of Canadian ex-pat animator Michel Gagné and I was thrilled to see his latest work Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets (see previous post), a series of interstitials and bumpers Michel created for Nickelodeon’s “Halloween Shriekin Weekend” in the U.S. market. The shorts were created in Flash and while they’re not really puppetry per se, they’re obviously puppetry inspired and absolutely brilliant.

The cartoons on his Michel’s web site are “director’s cuts” and apparently different from what aired on Nick over the weekend. Here’s hoping MTV networks orders more of these very, very soon!
