Hara Tie marionette

I saw a video of Kenji Shinosaka performing this lovely marionette by Japanese puppet builder Hara Tie today and was quite taken with it. There’s something very simple, elegant and very pure about the Japanese design aesthetic that many North American puppet builders could learn from.
